Tauvik Muhamad

Tauvik Muhamad is a social entrepreneur and development enthusiast. He is an expert in skills development, social protection, and worker education with more than twenty years of experience working with the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Indonesia, Thailand, and Bangladesh. His line of work includes poverty reduction, crisis response toolkits, blue economy roadmap, skills for trade and economic diversification (STED) and capacity building on enterprise for business and human rights.

Prior to joining ILO, Tauvik worked at HSBC and BNP Paribas International as a financial analyst and internal auditor.

He is a pro-bono lecturer for the Paramadina Post-Graduate Study Programme on Diplomacy and International Relations. He is also engaged in various research projects and has published a number of opinion columns on various issues in employment and labour.

Tauvik obtained a bachelor’s in economy from University of Indonesia and a master’s in Public Administration from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.
